Crypto education, free from hype, paid promotions, and recycled press releases.
That belief is where CryptoLurk started, and it hasn't changed.
What has changed is our commitment to being more transparent about who's behind the site, and how it stays online.
Who writes CryptoLurk?
CryptoLurk is researched, written, and maintained by one person, who publishes under the name CrisCoin. Every guide, wallet review, staking tutorial, and comparison published here comes from first-hand research, practical testing, and continuous updates.
Like many people in crypto, CrisCoin didn't start as an expert. The journey began with curiosity, followed by plenty of mistakes, experimentation, and learning. CryptoLurk exists because documenting those lessons can help others avoid the same costly errors.
"Would this have genuinely helped me when I was learning crypto?"
If the answer is no, it doesn't get published.
Why CryptoLurk uses affiliate links
For a long time, CryptoLurk operated without any form of monetization. Articles were published simply because they deserved to exist. While that approach reflected the site's values, it wasn't sustainable for a one-person project committed to producing accurate, regularly updated content.
Today, some pages include affiliate links to exchanges, wallets, and crypto tools we genuinely recommend. You can read the full details in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Affiliate commissions allow CryptoLurk to continue:
Testing wallets and platforms firsthand
Updating guides as products evolve
Researching new tools and blockchain ecosystems
Keeping the site independent — no sponsored articles, no intrusive ads
What affiliate links don't change
Affiliate partnerships never determine what gets recommended. Every exchange, wallet, and crypto platform is evaluated using the same standards described in our Review Methodology, whether it offers an affiliate program or not.
If a product no longer meets our standards, we update the review accordingly, even if that means losing affiliate revenue.
"Would I recommend this to a friend if there were no commission involved?"
If the answer isn't an unequivocal yes, it doesn't appear on CryptoLurk.
What CryptoLurk is building
CryptoLurk isn't trying to become the loudest crypto website. The goal is to become one that people trust enough to return to.
Publishing honest opinions, even when they're unpopular
Updating content instead of letting it become outdated
Explaining complex topics in plain language
Helping readers make informed decisions instead of chasing hype
Crypto moves fast. Reliable information should keep pace.
If that's what you're looking for, you're in the right place.
